Europa Universalis III: Complete with In Nomine (patch version 3.2) - Full Game Required

Updated to Full Version 4.0c

Features

New in depth features compared to Europa Universalis III

Dynasties and Heirs

  • Monarchs now belong to a dynasty. Countries of the same dynasty get improved relations.
  • Royal marriages might now result in predictable outcomes; change of dynasty, personal union, etc.
  • Claiming thrones further increases your chances of ending up in a personal union.
  • Influence your chances of inheriting other crowns by maintaining a high prestige.
  • A new Legitimacy value determines how popular your ruling dynasty is.
  • Legal Heirs can appear, securing the succession.
  • Special dynastic events.

Diplomacy

  • Spheres of Influence; powerful countries can spend prestige to include others in their sphere of influence. Meddling with a minor in someone’s Sphere will give them a Casus Belli on you.
  • New diplomatic options for the Holy Roman Empire: Bestow Imperial Grace to improve relations with princes of the HRE, and Enforce Religious Unity, to force princes to adopt your religion.
  • New diplomatic options for Merchant Republics: Trade Leagues guide trade through League centers of trade with less competition between members. Trade Rights make all goods of certain type pass through the republic’s Centers of Trade (giving an income bonus in those provinces.)

War and Peace

  • No more generic Casus Bellis. There are now more than 30 specific types.
  • The type of Casus Belli used to declare a war greatly affects the peace options (cost, prestige and infamy.)
  • Wars are named by the Casus Belli used.
  • New peace options: treaty annulment, reduce sphere of influence, concede defeat.

Cultural Tradition and Recruitable Advisors

  • Accrue cultural tradition by promoting culture and being at peace.
  • Recruit specific advisors for your cultural tradition.

National Focus

  • Set your national focus to promote growth in a province and its neighbors.
  • Beware border conflicts resulting from the increased tensions near your national focus.
  • Special events and decisions for the provinces around your focus.

The Holy Roman Empire

  • The Empire now gains Imperial Authority by maintaining stability within the HRE and protecting its member states.
  • Use Imperial Authority to reform the Empire, eventually unifying it under one flag.

The Papacy

  • Less micromanagement: no longer possible to bribe cardinals. Instead, the new value “Papal Influence” determines your chances of getting one of your prelates elected into the Curia.
  • Papal Influence is gained by being narrowminded, maintaining good relations with the Papal State, having the right national ideas, etc.
  • Improved Holy See window.

History

  • Inspect your national history from in-game.
  • Inspect the province history from the province view.

Miscellaneous

  • Permanent Terra Incognita removed.
  • Improved combat.
  • Fleets have a “patrol range” to keep pirates in check.
  • The Defender of the Faith gets called to war against heretics and infidels.
  • Improved interface for country modifiers.
  • Improved peace interface.
